Through our mission of love, the Masonic Home of New Jersey seeks to provide quality, individualized care and services that meet our residents physical, social and spiritual needs in an environment that enables you to live a rich and full life. Founded by the Masonic Fraternity, which is a non-profit organization, managed by the Masonic Charity Foundation of New Jersey, our residence is open to the public and welcomes all.
The Masonic Home of New Jersey has a tradition of caring that dates back more than a century. The Home was established in 1898 to serve both children and adults, and was later incorporated as the Masonic Charity Foundation of New Jersey, a non-profit organization. In 1944, it was decided to use the Home exclusively for adults. Since our inception, the Masonic Home of New Jersey has been a leader in providing quality residential services for seniors.
Today we are one of the largest long-term care providers in New Jersey, yet we take pride in our friendliness and attention to individual needs. Residents come from many different areas, religions and backgrounds, creating an interesting community where friendships flourish. In addition to providing a full continuum of care for Masons and their families in their later years, our residence is also open to seniors from all walks of life.
Located on 450 groomed acres in rural Burlington Township, the Masonic Home of New Jersey embodies our enduring commitment to providing quality care for our residents. Our spacious, modern community is fully licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and approved by Medicare and Medicaid and includes warm gathering places to talk with friends, numerous amenities and comfortable living spaces. We offer a comprehensive continuum of care including residential, assisted living, skilled nursing, an Alzheimer's unit and Hospice - all under one roof.
In addition to any necessary nursing services, residents receive the expert attention of our full-time medical team. Our Medical Director, Associate Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner are on site Monday through Friday and on call 24 hours a day. You can also see specialists such as a podiatrist or cardiologist in our doctors' office. If you need off-site medical care, we can help to schedule your appointments and make sure that you have transportation. The rehabilitation department provides physical, occupational and speech therapy programs in our large, well-equipped Fitness Center. Our dedicated staff of more than 600 people is committed to upholding our values of quality of life, respect for the individual and exceptional service. Our evidence? We have an extremely low turnover rate, particularly among the professional staff. Additionally, our nurses are sought after to share their skills by acting as role models for nursing students who gain experience in clinical practice while providing extra time and attention to our residents.
