Activities at the Masonic Home of New Jersey occur on a daily basis by certified staff and their assistants.  Our staff is diversified, creative and passionate about their work.  Residents receive therapeutic interventions 365 days a year.  Through these Activities  they are kept alert and oriented which provides a high quality of life for each one.

Our interventions include, but are not limited to, Music Therapy, provided in a group or individually to all residents who wish to participate,  by our certified Music Therapist.  We also have a Bell Choir which often travels to senior citizen groups during the daylight hours and performs at our nondenominational Sunday services.  Our Singing Choir performs each Sunday and for special events.

Pet Therapy is yet another intervention.  It provides unconditional love to all who desire
a visit.  Our facility provides the best and most comprehensive program in our surrounding area according to Phil Arkow, Professor of Animal Assisted Therapy/Activities from Camden County College. 

Many other interventions are provided through the use of plants, aromas, cooking, performances, games, puzzles, discussions, current events, crafts, ceramics, Masonic and Eastern Star meetings, woodworking, visitations, shopping, trips to local lodges, churches and restaurants for luncheons and dinners, baseball games and many other interactive events.

We also value each resident’s need for privacy and the need to relax and just read a book, watch television or catch a nap.

Whatever an individual’s preference is, we make every effort to accommodate each one at their own level of functioning.

In addition, there are hundreds of books in our library and throughout the Home.  Many of the books are large print to accommodate those with visual impairments. 

Our Private Dining Room, which is reminiscent of home, provides a place where families and friends may come together and spend quality time with their loved ones.  Our fully equipped kitchen can fulfill anyone’s need to have a special event.  You may serve ice cream and cake or prepare a special holiday meal or any significant event.  Arrangements to use this area may be made by dialing 609-239-3912.
